Teen shot while sitting on porch of home, police say | Crime

LANCASTER, SC (WBTV) - Police in Lancaster are searching for an armed man after a teenager was shot on his porch over the weekend.

According to police, the shooting happened at a home along the 100 block of South Gregory Street on Sunday night around 8:20 p.m.

Police say an 18-year-old man was sitting on the front porch when two men that he is acquainted with walked towards the porch.

That's when police say one of the suspects, another teenager from Lancaster, fired multiple shots at the victim with a handgun. The 18-year-old was hit at least once in the leg.

He ran into the home where he called 911 for help.

The victim transported to Springs Memorial Hospital by emergency crews to be treated for his injuries, which are considered non life-threatening.
